Blanca Paloma

You can’t leave Spain without having eaten some tapas! Tapas are small dishes of all kinds that can be either cold (e.g. sandwiches or olives) or warm (e.g. grilled meats or fried croquettes).

In most regions of Spain, you need to order the tapas you want to try from the restaurant’s menu and obviously need to pay for them, too. However, in Andalusia, you automatically get a small plate of tapas that you don’t need to pay for extra with every drink you order. Depending on the bar, the type and quantity of tapas vary, but with every new round of drinks you order, new surprise tapas are brought to your table. If you are really hungry and want to eat something more substantial, most bars/restaurants also have a proper menu from which you can order larger portions of tapas and bigger sized dishes.

We were recommend the bar/restaurant “Blanca Paloma” on our first evening in Seville and directly went there to get some drinks and tapas. They had amazing red wine for Christoph, a cold coke for me and brought out lots of delicious tapas! We also ordered some of their signature dishes and their daily special: sardines on tomato-onion pesto on crusty bread. One of the tastiest dishes I ate during our 6 week stay in Spain!
