Acid

Another very nice coffee place in the center of Madrid is the “Acid” café. The facade is impossible to miss as the wooden doors and window frames are painted in bright red. A white neon sign hangs in the window with the name of the place: ACID.

Every time I walked from our apartment in Madrid to the Prado Museum or the adjacent Retiro Park, I passed the “Acid” Café. The cafés interior is not only well designed and beautiful, but this place also offers excellent coffee beverages and expensive but delicious sourdough bread.

Although you can get a coffee or cappuccino for less money in Madrid, in my opinion it’s still worth visiting the “Acid” coffee place every now and then to enjoy your coffee in peace in the beautifully designed interior. Get yourself one of the coffee table books or magazines there and after finishing your coffee make sure to take home one of the freshly baked sourdough breads too!
