With 450 million books sold since 1954, »Pixi« is Germany’s most popular series of children’s books. The small, square books have become a significant part of German reading culture, with every child owning several and every adult remembering them nostalgically.
It was a significant personal achievement when I illustrated a Pixi book titled »Insel-Weihnacht« in a watercolor style for their 2021 Christmas special box, about the adventure of a young man and his dog trying to transport the Christmas tree to his family in time for the celebration.
