Icon set for RepOS-it

Icon design, 2020

HAW Hamburg (University of Applied Sciences) is launching »RepOS-it« – an open science repository to publish original research papers and data under open access. They asked me create a comprehensive icon set for their UI. I developed the visual style and in the end I drew over 60 icons.

01 — An Overview of the icon set

02 – Icons of scientific instruments

03 — To make sure the icons were pixel-perfect I drew them in three sizes with different stroke-widths and varying levels of detail

04 — Some basic UI icons

05 — More complex icons, including the building of the HAW

06 — Sometimes variants of the same icon were needed to display different actions and states

07 — A behind-the-scences look at the grid I used to make sure all icons are visually balanced, no matter their shape
